Beautiful doors. The answer to a question I asked at the end of my previous post on grain elevators. The question? During your travels, is there something you are always drawn to, akin to my passion for grain elevators.
A lovely lady commented and she was always drawn to doors, among other things.
Brenda, this post is for you.
For something beautiful on Mondays, I searched my photo archive for a few photos of beautiful doors and mosaics. These were taken during a trip to Bulgaria in 2012. Something beautiful to walk through. Something beautiful to walk on. Oh, to have such art surrounding us on a daily basis.
DOORS

MOSAICS
And just because, you also like floor mosaics, here are a few from Plovdiv.

I highly recommend a visit to the amazing country of Bulgaria to anyone with a travel bucket list.
If you were to travel to somewhere unusual, where would it be? Does anyone else want to weigh in on a travel passion? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so share something even if it is unusual, or not considered by some to be considered beautiful.
And to close with a few quotes about doors:
“Be an opener of doors”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
“There are so many doors to open. I am impatient to begin.” –Charlie Gordan”
― Daniel Keyes, Flowers for Algernon
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 (Jesus speaking)

Hello Elaine,
I certainly want to go back. There is still so much of Bulgaria I didn’t see in the 6 weeks I was there.
